Americans are more uncertain than we’ve probably ever been. People have lost their jobs overnight, schools are shut down and the future of America depends on how we respond to the whole COVID-19 virus in the coming weeks. It is an extremely difficult time to be an American, it’s a hard time to be a human. In one of the most economically powerful countries on the map, whether you’re an employee or a small business, we’re going to feel the hit on the economy. The foundation that keeps our country moving, are the same people who are going to end up out of work. The same people who help pay for services and products that keep small businesses running are going to stop spending on anything other than survival essentials. It’s these times I feel are most important to lead from the front and be the example. It’s definitely not a time to play defense. A defensive strategy will not work. It’s not a time to sit back and hoard and try to save all of your money. It’s not a good time to spend on things that aren’t necessary. It’s a time to add value and feed the economy. Sitting back and waiting for things to fix themselves won’t work, and either will holding everything. Take a few steps back to re-calibrate and reorganize your offense strategy. Show up early, play late. We will not be able to press forward with the same plan you had before. We will need to adapt and play a completely different game. What America does in the coming weeks will determine how well we pull ourselves together and out of this situation. Most people are going to quit, but we can not allow ourselves to become one of them. It’s going to get rough, it’s going to get bad. Adapt and press forward the best you know how. One foot in front of the other.
